Our hope begins with what Christ has done for us, not what we can do for Him.
Ephesians 1:7 directs our attention to the riches of God’s grace. Redemption is not something we earn. It is the gift of God, purchased through the blood of Jesus Christ.
That truth humbles us and gives us hope. We do not need to hide our need or pretend that we can make ourselves right with God. We come to Christ in repentance and faith, trusting His finished work.
Grace also shapes our life together. Because we have been welcomed in Christ, we can welcome others with patience and kindness. Because we have been forgiven, we can learn to forgive. This week, take time to read Ephesians 1:3–14 and thank God for the grace He has shown in His Son.
